Englisch B2.1

In this module, the participants are enabled to understand complex texts on concrete and abstract topics and to communicate so spontaneously and fluently that a normal conversation with native speakers is possible without great effort on both sides. You will learn to express yourself clearly and in detail on a wide range of topics, to explain a point of view on a topical issue and to state the advantages and disadvantages of various options. (Compare can-do descriptions of GER B2) Finally, the participants reflect on the culture in the English-speaking area in the context of the content conveyed and, after completing the module, will understand the basics and customs of the forms of life in the English-speaking area.

• The existing knowledge of English is checked with an entrance test at the beginning of the semester
• This modul especially aims at students in all study programs, who aspire a semester abroad, or exchange students with an English language competence at level CEFR B1. It is not suitable for students with a lower or level of language competence
• Online enrolment/Moodle
• In exceptional cases, the face-to-face course can be held as an online live session
