CFD 3

Lernergebnisse

Students learn about advanced topics in numerical fluid mechanics in order to deal with complex flows, e.g. multi phase flows, turbulent flows in complex geometries, reactive and particulate flows, as well as magneto and electro hydrodynamics. After successful completion of the course, participants are able to understand algorithms and computer programs for more complex problems on their own. On this basis, students will be put in the position to understand and work themselves into more complex applied problems. This module needs basic programming experience, which is highly recommended, and normally has been gathered through modules as CFD 1 and 2 that is offered by the department.
